Position EP-3-18: Consulting Solution Architect
Majitek is seeking experienced Solution Architects to work in innovative client facing consulting projects.
These position(s) will be based out of the Australian (Melbourne) office and will involve opportunities to travel within Australia, Asia Pacific and the Middle Eastern regions:
Key responsibilties
- Client facing consulting activities operating both remotely and on client sites
- Interpretation of client business requirements in conjunction with technical and environmental constraints to provide client specific enterprise software application solution designs
- Management of technical aspects of consulting solution projects including: architectural advice around the use of Majitek products, enterprise software architectural specification, detail design and technical implementation
- Day to day hands-on technical leadership, including coaching and mentoring of junior team members, as well as hands on design, development, testing and fault diagnosis alongside solution development team members.
- Liaison with Majitek Product Development teams to ensure that commonly identified client requirements are included within future Majitek Product roadmaps.
Experience Required
- Extensive experience in architecture with ability to lead and mentor software developers in design and best practices
- Demonstrated delivery of large projects in client facing roles
- Demonstrated familiarity with contemporary enterprise Java software development technologies (EJB3/EE5, Spring, Hibernate Demonstrated familiarity with contemporary enterprise application middleware platforms (IBM Websphere/Tivoli, BEA Weblogic/Aqualogic, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Sun Composite Application Suite, JBoss Enterprise, Tibco Active Matrix)
- 3+ years software solution architecture and technical leadership experience
- 6+ years Java, OO, SOA development and implementation experience.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems frameworks, pref 1+ years Jini/JavaSpaces, JXTA
- 2+ years experience with Agile and other SDLC methodologies
- 2+ years client facing experience
- Excellent team/people management & communication skills
- Experience in technical pre-sales an advantage
