Position EP-3-22: Consulting Software Engineer (application tier)
Majitek is seeking experienced Back End Software Engineers to work in innovative client facing consulting projects.
These position(s) will be based out of the Australian (Melbourne) office and will involve opportunities to travel within Australia, Asia Pacific and the Middle Eastern regions:
Key responsibilties
- Client facing software development activities operating both remotely and on client sites
- Day to day hands on design, development, testing and fault diagnosis of custom software code as defined by project Solution Architects and Consulting Team Leads working within a highly dynamic team environment
General Experience Required
- 5+ years Java, OO, SOA development (an advantage) and implementation experience
- Demonstrated delivery of projects in client facing roles
- Excellent team work & communication skills
- Experience with Agile and other SDLC methodologies
- Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate
- Experience with BEA, IBM, SUN and Oracle Application Server platforms an advantage
- SUN Java certification an advantage
Development Environment Experience Required (min one of each)
- IDE: Eclipse / Intelli J / Net Beans
- Continuous integration: CruiseControl, Bamboo
- Test: Junit, Jmeter, Selinium, HTML Unit, mock testing methods
- Database: Oracle, Postgres, DB2
- Scripting: ANT, Ivy, Maven
- Source Repositories: Subversion, CVS
- Operating Systems: Linux / Unix / Windows
