Majitek releases GridSystem 2.0

Next generation Grid Application Platform brings the power of grid computing to any Java application.
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, June 20, 2006 – Grid Application Platform company, Majitek, today announced that version 2.0 of its flagship GridSystem product had been released.
Building on its core capabilities in high performance transaction processing and inherent software redundancy, the new release delivers a raft of new features to assist IT Administrators who are managing complex application environments that need to continually change and update whilst maintaining constant uptime.

GridSystem 2.0 brings IT administrators a raft of additional capabilities, specifically:
- Adaptive software load balancing and dimensional linear scaling capability across multiple services.
- Dynamic topology configurations, allowing messaging stacks and containers to be instantly integrated on LANs or WANs to absorb load.
- Simple yet powerful XML based scripting capabilities for all administration functions, including live upgrades, versioned application deployment and capacity allocation.
- Support for live platform upgrades, enabling administrators to upgrade the GridSystem platform and all of its applications without disruption to service.
"GridSystem 2.0 is all about usability", continued Dr Blythe. "We have managed to provide developers a non-invasive API with which they can write services as POJO style code, which will automatically assume the high throughput, high availability and quality of service guarantees from the platform. We have also incorporated a considerable amount of customer feedback from the administrator perspective. When you enable people to create a sophisticated distributed system with multiple interdependencies, you need to provide them with a robust set of tools to monitor, administer and upgrade a live production system."
