Australia’s Majitek Leaps Forward With Global Business Expansion

Strategic partnership with Asian intelligent-building integrator first of many as part of the company’s new ‘Leap’ strategy

Technology innovator Majitek has undergone a rebranding and transformation of its business from its Australian origins as a middleware vendor to a global solutions company for next-generation service providers.
The launch of the ‘Leap’ brand as the market face of Majitek’s new portfolio of solutions coincides with the company’s announcement (see accompanying release) today of a strategic partnership with one of Asia’s largest intelligent building systems integration companies - Singapore-listed CNA Group Ltd.
Under the deal with CNA, the two companies will offer a range of Leap Solutions for Property Management and Facilities Management companies who wish to deliver intelligent building management services to the real estate industry. CNA will become a shareholder of Majitek alongside leading investors Cisco Systems and Pierce & Pierce Group, and Majitek will acquire CNA’s SiriusTM IBMS/IFMS Software Assets and become the preferred supplier of software solutions to CNA projects.
Majitek’s Director Strategy and Marketing, Rob Cumming, said today the rebranding of the company’s products and services under the ‘Leap’ brand reflected Majitek’s strategy to move away from selling middleware products to delivering turnkey solutions for vertical market service providers.
“With the global market for Software-as-a Service (SaaS) forecast to grow to US$14B by 20131 we see a huge opportunity for solutions that assist businesses to emulate the highly successful service provider models of Google and Salesforce.com.”
