Former Telstra Corporation CIO to bring new company focus on Enterprise Transformation Platforms for Agile Service Delivery

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, January 30, 2006 - Grid Application Platform company, Majitek, today announced that Mr Jeff Smith, former CIO for Telstra Corporation, has taken the helm of the company as Chief Executive Officer.

Established in 2001, Majitek technologies enable enterprises to adopt more agile business practices, by transforming core capabilities into digital services that can are delivered via the Internet. Majitek products dramatically alter the total cost of service delivery – increasing revenue, lowering costs and reducing complexity.

"CIO's all around the world are tasked with using technology to do three things; make money, save money or make things easier to run", said Mr. Smith. "Inevitably achieving these goals involves transformation of traditional business processes to software based service delivery via broadband IP networks. As these companies move to internet based business models their IT capabilities must become more agile and deliver a much wider range of 'digital' services. Majitek has, in my estimation, the only end-to-end technology solution that enables complete flexibility to provide any service, to any device, via any IP network. This company is well placed to become a world leader in the next information technology revolution and I am truly excited to join the team as CEO."

The appointment of Mr Smith coincides with the appointment of Mr Russell Bate, former Vice President of Sales Operations for Sun Microsystems, Asia Pacific Region as company chairman.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Bate said, "The team at Majitek are not only experts in emerging fields such as Digital Convergence, Grid Computing and Pervasive Computing, they have products in the market right now that deliver real business benefits from leveraging these technologies. The breadth of world class talent in Majitek is truly astonishing and I look forward to working alongside Jeff and the executive team to fully realise the commercial potential of this venture".

Majitek has a number of enterprise transformation projects underway which will be announced during the first half of 2006.

Majitek is headquartered in Melbourne Australia and maintains offices in San Francisco and Singapore.
